Sales of computer, communication and consumer electronics (3C) products by China’s online retailers in the third quarter of 2011 showed a decline for the first time in three years, according to new statistics released Thursday.
The 3C sales value amounted to 36.84 billion yuan (about $5.8 billion) in the third quarter, one percent lower than the figure for the second quarter, said the report by Analysis International, a provider of information for China’s Internet market.
However, the value of 3C sales by Chinese online retailers was still 61.6 percent higher than for the same period in 2010, said the report.
